Volunteer Lego Club Facilitator
City of Port Adelaide Enfield
Position Objectives:
- As the facilitator of Lego club you will provide a fun, safe and educational space for families and Lego fans of all ages to enjoy together in the library
Key responsibilities:
- Set Lego challenges for participants for each session, including preparing any necessary instructions/materials (using the library photocopier, stationery and resources).
- Set-up and pack-up Lego equipment and space. Including moving furniture and Lego.
- Supervise and direct Lego activities.
Availability
- Be available for at least one whole school term of sessions.
- If you are unable to attend inform your Program Coordinator as soon as possible, or the Saturday staff on the day.
Requirements of the role:
- Must have a current DHS Clearance to work with children. Applications for clearances are free for council volunteers.
- Ability to be self-directed and pro-active.
- Be reliable, punctual, energetic and responsible.
- Enjoy helping people of all ages and all demographics (children & adults).
- Ability to communicate, listen and relate well to customers, staff and other volunteers.
- Ability to follow directions and instructions from staff.
- Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.
- Be familiar with the Council’s Work Health and Safety policy and other policies relevant to the Volunteer Program.
