BinderKeepers Inc is community orientated and provides members books covering from baby to senior ages for borrowing. Our community library has a huge collection of books written by Australians and books referencing Australia. Special reference sections in Military, Transport (focusing on Aviation History, Gardening, Art and Self Help. Every item on display has been donated by members of the local and surrounding communities.

A weekly weekend Books, Toys, Jigsaw Puzzles and Games for Sale is held at the RSL Samford car park, 4 Progress Avenue, Samford Village 4520 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, as the main library collection of books is in storage while the Library Groups finalises a site to operate from.

At the same time funds are progressively accumulating for an eco-friendly community building to act as a venue for the Community Library, stage for Theatre & live Music and Art. Volunteers assist in marketing surplus books for sale online and establish a greater reach for more substantial funding opportunities.

Treasurer hours can be entirely after hours if required (meetings are usually always held outside work hours) and on a Tuesday or Thursday if held off-line.

General Duties:

• Record income and expenses.

• Balance statements.

• Provide financial statement for quarterly offline meetings held in the Samford Valley area.

• Prepare end of year financial accounts for the Annual General Meeting (Nov/Dec 2024) and for submission to the ACNC.

If local:

• Manage receipt book.

• Do banking as required (local bank).

• Manage cash float

Basic book-keeping experience required. Our organisation provides low cost items to empower and educate individuals of all ages in mental health, in self-reliance and resilience. Small events are often held in the local area.
